I am a humanitarian and development generalist with more than ten years of field experience in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. I am familiar with analyzing complex conflict and poverty situations, designing short- and long-term strategies in programming and advocacy, managing large and complex operations, as well as raising and managing substantial funds.
Management/Stragegy: More than three years of senior management experience, managing up to 361 staff in multi-cultural environments with budgets of up to USD 35 mio./annum, including strategic programme development, monitoring and administration of large integrated multi-donor funded programmes.
Programmes: Trained humanitarian assessment specialist; PCM experience throughout the project cycle. Thematically: Protection (incl. child protection), WASH, health, food, agriculture and livelihoods, education; transition programming, integrated programs.
Representation and Advocacy: Negotiation and advocacy (up to the level Head of State, SRSG) on the rights of vulnerable people, with governments, official security forces and non state actors, UN representatives, and donors.
Media: Spokesman in major electronic and print media.
